Our Community Partnerships
Nariya Cleveland
Nariya Cleveland is a lively, participatory, musical Kabbalat Shabbat, followed by a communal dinner and is open to people of all backgrounds. Appearing twice at the beginning of Kabbalat Shabbat, the word “Nariya” can perhaps best be translated as “sing out from your essence.” In this spiritual expression of music, we celebrate and immerse in communal song, building a collective and embodied circle of sound.
Nariya Cleveland is co-sponsored by Mitsui Collective, Kol HaLev, and Cleveland Jewish Collective and hosted by Beth El - The Heights Synagogue. We gather the first Friday of most months, and other occasional programs and events. See below for current schedule.

Jews of Color: Cleveland
Jews of Color: Cleveland was co-founded by Samia Mansour and Ngozi Williams in 2021, with early support from jHUB. It entered into partnership with us as a project of Mitsui Collective in August 2022. As two organizations with a highly aligned mission and purpose, this collaborative arrangement provides Jews of Color: Cleveland with additional support and resources, and supports Mitsui Collective in its work centering JOC in its home community as both organizations continue to grow.
Jews of Color: Cleveland is supported in part by The Jewish Federation of Cleveland; Edot: Midwest Regional Jewish Diversity and Racial Justice Collaborative; The David and Inez Myers Foundation; and individual donors.
